Phi Delta Psi Eta was founded with the purpose of giving Latino men at the Pennsylvania State University a sense of belonging, and allow students of all backgrounds establish, maintain, and retain strong bonds with their brothers throughout their entire lives. Phi Delta Psi Eta Hispanic Fraternity, Inc. was founded by Harold Jones, Rafael Ramírez, Carlos Ríos, and Julio de Jesús, at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania on the twenty-third day of July, A.D. 1992.
Our Fraternity focuses on 4 Pillars
I. To establish the bonds of brotherhood among all past, present, and future members of the Fraternity
II. To promote scholarship and academic growth among brothers in order to better ensure the personal and professional success of all members of the Fraternity
III. To promote a better understanding of Latino heritage, pride, and culture among the general population.
IV. To struggle and advocate for the most downtrodden among us in the hopes of creating a more just and harmonious society.
